Hedge End Allotment Association
Are you Interested in joining the Hedge End Allotment Association?
(HEAA)
Our Association has been formed to promote members’
interests in their gardening activities. We also hold various events.
Membership is open to tenants at
Hedge End Allotments (HEA) for a small annual subcription.
HEAA is affiliated with the National Allotment Society
(NAS) which gives members benefits including discounted seeds
and insurance against damage to other plots.
HEAA
The NAS regularly reviews its wide variety of benefits, such as:
* Discounted seed scheme to all members - this benefit alone could cover the
cost of membership
* Personal Liability Insurance up to £50K - ideal for accidental damage or
injury you may cause to others (such as a stone flying off while operating
machinery or items from your plot flying such as in the recent frequent storms)
* Quarterly magazine and E-Newsletters
* Specialist allotment insurance scheme – Discount for members
* Initial Legal Advice and Information and advice through their website –
www.nsalg.org.uk
Details of the benefits can be found by clicking on the link below:
https://www.nsalg.org.uk/join-us/membership-benefits/
It is only by members' continued support that the NAS are able to fund these
benefits and their fight to protect, preserve and promote allotments.
Being affiliated to the NAS also helps support HEAA.
Membership fee is per person not per plot.
Payment for the annual subscription is £4 per person (a saving of £19 when
compared to the direct individual NAS membership cost of £23 independent of
HEAA) can be made directly to HEAA's bank account.
